Crowns

A dental crown is used to cap or completely cover a tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and/or to improve its appearance. Crowns are needed when the tooth is severely decayed and/or large old fillings are broken down.

One Visit CEREC Crowns

Crowns at West Prairie Dental can be made and cemented in one visit! With the use of CEREC technology digital pictures are made of the prepared tooth and then the crown is made with a CAD/CAM mill. We then cement it into place and your done! No more temporary crowns and bulky impressions.

Dental Implants

Implants can replace one or more teeth, provide support for a partial denture, or be used to attach a full denture. Implants have become the most predictable way to restore missing teeth and are usually the treatment of choice.

Bridges

Dental bridges are restorations used to replace one or more missing teeth by joining them permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants. A bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap and a false tooth/teeth in between.

Dentures and Partials Dentures

Partial and full dentures are a removable prosthetic device used to replace missing teeth. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. Both full and partial dentures can also be anchored by dental implants for added support and retention.

Periodontics/Gum Disease

During a typical checkup your dentist or dental hygienist will remove the plaque and tartar build up from above and below the gum line of all your teeth. If you have some signs of gum disease, your dentist may recommend professional dental cleaning more than twice-a-year. Unhealthy gums are a red flag, warning of possible future tooth loss and the increased potential for stroke and heart disease. A periodontal assessment is one of the most important things you can do to improve the overall health of you and your family

Root Canals

A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. Root canal procedures are performed when the nerve of the tooth becomes infected or the pulp becomes damaged. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Following root canal treatment the tooth is usually restored with a crown.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Fillings are used to restore decayed or broken teeth. The decayed portion of the tooth is removed and then replaced by a tooth colored filling.
